Like a wise man, after winning everything at the Club, Zinadine Zidane has stepped down as Real Madrid manager. He won 9 trophies in the 2 and half years tenure at the club. Now Fiorentino Perez needs to find a successor to the history maker and Guardian reports that he might be looking towards Nortrh London club Tottenham to secure the services of Mauricio Pochettino.
Perez is an admirer of the Tottenham manager Mauricio Pocchettino's work he has done at the club and the reports suggest that Real Madrid might try to snatch him from Daniel Levy's hands. Mauricio Pochettino signed the contract extension with Spurs few days ago, which is suppose to keep him at the club until 2022. However, Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman is a very shrewd business man but allowing Mauricio Pochettino to leave the club only after signing the contract 8 days ago will be a disaster for the club.
Mauricio Pochettino has done a phenomenal job at Spurs after taking over three years ago and he did nurture a lot of talents and made some of them super stars during his time. If Real Madrid comes calling hard and if Pochettino leaves the club, Spurs will go in shambles as it will result in the exile of the super stars at the club as well. The future of star players like Harry Kane, Eriksen and Dele Alli is solely dependent on Mauricio, if not for the Argentine's caliber, they would have had already left the club seeking trophies at other major clubs.
Real will have to play the hard ball with Daniel Levy and Spurs to get hold of Mauricio Pochettino, though the latest reports suggest that there is no release clause in Pochettino's new Spurs deal and also it won't go down well with the Spurs fans if he decides to leave the club after just signing the contract extension.
